Eastney Beach
Beach, Southsea
Eastney Beach is a broad shingle beach at the eastern end of Southsea, stretching from South Parade Pier towards the entrance to Langstone Harbour. The beach is quieter and less developed than the central Southsea seafront, making it popular with dog walkers, swimmers, and those looking for a less crowded stretch of coast. The beach has no commercial facilities, which is part of its appeal. At the far eastern end, near Fort Cumberland, the beach gives way to the mudflats and saltmarshes of Langstone Harbour, an important site for wading birds and brent geese.
