The Wedgewood Rooms is a live music venue on Albert Road and one of the most respected small venues on the south coast. The main room holds around 450 people and hosts touring bands, local acts, DJ nights, and club events. Many nationally known artists have played the Wedgewood Rooms on their way up, and the venue has a strong reputation for programming across rock, indie, punk, electronic, and hip hop. The attached Edge of the Wedge bar serves as a smaller performance space and pre-gig drinking spot. The venue is central to Southsea's identity as a live music destination.
