Canoe Lake Area
Street guide, Southsea
The streets around Canoe Lake form a small, distinct area at the eastern end of the main seafront. Canoe Lake itself is a boating lake popular with families, surrounded by gardens, a putting green, and the Cumberland House Natural History Museum. The surrounding streets, including St Helens Parade and Eastern Parade, have some of Southsea's finest seafront properties, many with direct views over the lake and the Solent. The area sits between the busier central seafront to the west and the quieter Eastney beach to the east. Rose gardens and the model village add to the area's family-friendly character.
