Clarence Parade
Street guide, Southsea
Clarence Parade is the western section of Southsea's seafront road, running from Clarence Pier eastwards past the D-Day Story museum and Southsea Castle. The road sits between Southsea Common and the sea wall, with wide pavements and uninterrupted views across the Solent. Several large Victorian and Edwardian buildings face the sea, some converted into flats and hotels. The hovercraft terminal for services to the Isle of Wight is located at the western end, near Clarence Pier. The road is a popular route for walkers, joggers, and cyclists using the seafront promenade.
