Osborne Road
Street guide, Southsea
Osborne Road branches west from the top of Palmerston Road and has become one of Southsea's most notable dining streets. Turkish, Italian, Indian, Thai, and Japanese restaurants sit side by side in the ground floors of Victorian terraces. The road also has wine bars, a delicatessen, and a few independent shops. The atmosphere is more upmarket than Albert Road, with pavement tables appearing in warm weather. Osborne Road connects to the residential streets of Owen's Southsea to the west and to the Palmerston Road shopping precinct at its eastern end.
