South Parade
Street guide, Southsea
South Parade is the eastern section of Southsea's seafront road, stretching from Southsea Castle past the Blue Reef Aquarium, the bandstand, Canoe Lake, and South Parade Pier towards Eastney. The road is lined on the inland side with large Victorian and Edwardian houses and mansion flats, many with sea views commanding premium prices. South Parade Pier, rebuilt after multiple fires, stands at the eastern end. The promenade along the sea wall is one of the most popular walking routes in Portsmouth. The road also gives access to the beach huts that line the esplanade between the castle and the pier.
